Diane Cormier, our loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away after a brief battle with cancer on January 15, 2019, surrounded by her family in her home in Clinton, Utah. She was born on March 29, 1962 in Ogden, Utah. She spent her early years in Worland, Wyoming and graduated from Worland Senior High School.

After moving to Utah, Diane became a buyer for several companies. For the last 12 years, she was a Sourcing Specialist for Turtle and Hughes. She was the first female to be promoted to onsite manager and was the first buyer to be allowed to work from home.

In her many years of working as a purchaser, she developed friendships that lasted throughout her life. Diane loved animals. She welcomed many lost dogs that needed a temporary home until they were reunited with their owners and fed any hungry neighborhood cat.

She was excited to get her first dog, Jessi, and they shared a special bond. She loved to spend time outdoors working in her yard and garden, going for walks, hiking, and spending time at the family cabin in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. Diane loved antiques and through her many hours of searching for the next treasure, she was able to create a close bond with friends and family who shared her passion.

She became an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved her ward family and especially enjoyed coaching the Young Women in basketball and volleyball. For the last 4 years, Diane’s calling has been that of a beloved Nursery Leader.

Her love of children radiated and they responded by loving her. Diane loved her family and friends. At family gatherings, while the adults visited, you could always find her playing with nieces and nephews.

She always wanted to be with family or friends for any celebration. She had a sweet spirit and we were blessed to have her in our lives. She is preceded in death by her Dad, Ed Cormier.

She is survived by her Mother, Renee Cormier, and siblings, Alan Cormier (son, Alden), Brian (Lisa) Peterson (son, Justin), Caran Peterson (daughters, Sara and Rachel), Angelette (Jason) Hicks (children, Delanee, Brady, and Kynnadi), Christy (Brandon) Vickers (children, Grayson and Leona), grandnephews (Adrian, Colton, and Bradley), her father, Bruce (Nancy) Peterson, and her beloved dogs, Andi and Skye.
