Karen Lea Kunz July 8, 1940 – January 8, 2019 We remember the journey of Karen Lea Kunz, a kind hearted and giving soul. She ended her travels on January 8, 2019. Karen was born to Wilma Oleda Yarnell and Samuel Day in Kansas, 1940.

Karen retired from sunset city. She was treasure for 8 years and city recorder. While she worked there she formed an everlasting friendship with Ora Clayton, office administrator.

The pair traveled with their husband and had many adventures together. Karen was an antique collector and she loved to acquire items from the past as well as the stories that went whit them. She opened Stonepost Antiques in 2005.

The shop was located adjacent her home. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge and stories with everyone who walked through the door. Karen was married twice.

Her first marriage brought her a daughter, Lisa Wilson. Her second marriage to Albert Arnold Kunz, which brought her another daughter, Stacey Kunz. Arnold brought to the union three children of his own, Randy Kunz, Dave Kunz and Vickie Mikesell.

She was married for 52 years until Arnolds passing. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Ben Lomond Cemetery at 12pm. A viewing will be held prior at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, from 10 – 11:30am.
