Dixie’s Obituary Dixie Laytham Kennedy, 90, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Salt Fork Cemetery near Nelson.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and an online guestbook is available at www. campbell-lewis.com Born September 22, 1928, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late John Edward Brown and Dixie Laytham Schaumann.

Dixie lived in Marshall her entire life and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she worked for over 30 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. On July 24, 1993, she married Thomas F. “Tom” Kennedy who survives of the home. In addition to her husband, Tom, and his family, Dixie is survived by four step-children: David, Michael, Nancy, and Teresa Fischer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, George Schaumann.
