Obituary for Donald W. Brown Donald W. Brown, Jr., 66, of Iron Mountain, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, WI. Don was born February 10, 1952 in Peoria, IL, son of the late Donald W. and Marlene (Dismang) Brown. He attended school in Peoria and Elgin, IL.

Following his graduation in 1970, Don enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he served his country for two years. Don married Sandra Tanner in Iron Mountain. He worked as a boilermaker throughout the U.S. as a member of Local Union 107 for over 30 years, retiring in 2010.

Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing with his buddy, Ray. He also enjoyed spending the summers at Rivers Bend Campground. Most of all, he loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife, Sandy; a son, Paul (Nikki) Brown of Seymour, WI; two daughters, Teah (Bobby) Wright and Mandy (Mat) Brown, both of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Breann Brown, Danielle Bjorkman (Steven), Quentin Bjorkman, Elizabeth Brown, Anthony Brown, Stephen Johnson, Travis Wright and Tyler Wright; great grandchildren, Penelope, Xander and Payton Johnson; a brother, George Carter of Iron Mountain; a sister, Shirley (Phil) Wargnier of Capac, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary (Terry) VanPembrook, Terry (Tina) Unrein and Larry (Nancy) Unrein; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Arnold; his step-father, Patrick May; his mother-in-law, Margaret “Mugs” Tanner; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Unrein and Mark Tanner. At Don’s request, there will be no services held.
