Donald Wayne Rose, 74, of Front Street, Kannapolis NC, passed away Saturday, October 6, at his residence. He was born November 13, 1943 in Cabarrus County to the late Tola G. Rose, Sr. and the late Zula Victoria Russell Rose. Donald was a graduated of G.W. Carver High School and attended Livingstone College.

He was retired from Cannon Mills. Donald was a member of Bethel AME Zion Church where he served on the Men’s Choir. Services will be held Saturday, October 13, at Bethel AME Zion Church.

Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Rose, Maxine Rose, Clinton Ray Rose, Laura Rose Fisher, James William Rose.

. Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Janie Bea Pough Rose of the home; two sons, Eric W. Rose of Kannapolis, Sterling W. Rose of the home; sister, Frances Rose Mingo of Kannapolis; brother, Tola B. Rose, Jr. (Lillian) of Kannapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
