Donald Brent Givens, 51, of Owensboro, died on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1967 in Daviess County, KY to the late Donald and Jackie Raymond Givens. He had formerly been employed as a welder at Metalsa and was a member of Owensboro Christian Church.

Brent was very active at Owensboro Christian Church and loved all sports. Survivors include his daughter, Leah Leavell (James); two grandchildren, Aaliyah Leavell and Jakaisa Leavell; and friends Randy and LaDonna Smith. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Owensboro Christian Church.

Visitation is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
