DONNA D. WERNER Donna D. Werner, 88, of Quincy, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday (November 29, 2018) at Sunset Home. Born September 3, 1930 in Kirksville, Missouri, Donna was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Attey Keyte. She married Paul H. Werner on February 1, 1958 in Quincy.

He preceded her in death on May 18, 1979. Donna was an active member of the Quincy Salvation Army and loved helping others by volunteering at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed embroidery, needlepoint, knitting and solving crossword puzzles.

Donna was employed at Sunset Home for over 31 years until her retirement in 1992. Survivors include a niece, Joy Brassfield (Steve) of Quincy; a nephew, Tom McElroy (Melody) of Jacksonville, FL; many great nieces and great nephews including, Heather Raymond (Michael) of Quincy; many great great nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Teresa Taylor of LaGrange, MO. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; three brothers, Carroll Keyte in infancy, Major Jack Keyte and George Keyte; and a sister, Freda McElroy.

Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 11:15 in Greenmount Cemetery with Major Andrew Miller Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home . Memorials may be made to the Quincy Salvation Army.
