Dorothy H. (Scott) Lipp, 93, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Monday morning, April 23, 2018, surrounded by her family at the Providence Care Center, Sandusky. Born on November 5, 1924, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Harpel) Scott, Sr She attended Sandusky Local Schools and later graduated in 1980 from the American School.

Dorothy had worked as a secretary at Dr. Grant’s Office, prior to working at Periodical Publishers as a key punch operator for several years before retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 77 years, Edward N. Lipp whom she married on November 25, 1940; a daughter, Judith M. “Judy” Rupp of Sandusky; a son, James E. “Jim” (Phyllis) Lipp of Sandusky; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marguerite Cooley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ernest L. Scott, Jr. (1991); a son-in-law, David D. Rupp, Sr.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 5-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, April 27, 2018, at 11 am at the funeral home.

Rev. Eric Bodenstab officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Meals on Wheels, c/o the Erie County Senior Center, 620 E.
