She was born March 20, 1931 in Forest Park, IL and died Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Silverado Senior Living in Lake Zurich. Dorothy was a teacher for SEDOL for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting her relatives in St. Louis.

She also enjoyed doing the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper. She is survived by her children Donna (John) Van Meer, Darrell Doerle, Duane (Sherri) Doerle and her grandson Andy. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her granddaughter Valerie.
