Earl Rmoore Sr , August 10, 1930 — June 04, 2018

Obituary for Earl Moore Sr. Earl R. Moore, Sr., 87, of Lock Haven passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 10, 1930 in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Goldie L. Spencer Moore. Earl proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a co-owner of C & E Containers in Jersey Shore, retiring in 2000. Earl was a hard worker, whether it be running his business or working on projects at his own home. He enjoyed the outdoors, but most import to him were his family and his pets.

Surviving are four children: Earl R. (Kimberly) Moore, Jr. of State College, Mara Moore (Jeff Maguire) of Lock Haven, Erin Tana (Gary) Karichner of Lock Haven, and Ann Marie (Rick) Frankhouser of Jersey Shore; a step-daughter, Melody Lee Ditzler of Williamsport; a brother, Wayne Moore of Florida; a sister, Patsy Haupt of Muncy; sixteen grandchildren: Earl Lewis Moore, Jeremy Moore, Mandy Cook, Jade Schneider, Cory Broninger, Tiaira Moore, Gary Karichner, Grant Karichner, Mark Karichner, Tisha Smeal, Jessica Fisher, Ricky Frankhouser, Cortni Frankhouser, Eileen Hughes, Dana Ditzler, and Kelsey Scott; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Cuppy Cake. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by Shirley Ann Trimble Moore, his wife and the loving mother of his children; his step-daughter, Holly Dee Pettit; eight siblings: Harvey Moore, Stanley Moore, Emory Moore, Junior Moore, Martha Jane Reinhart, Sylvia Floyd, Dorothy Hemphill, and Alma Young; his grandson, Freddy Pettit, III; and his dog, Chewy Lewy. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.

Burial with Military Rites will follow at Linnwood Cemetery, McElhattan. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Earl’s name may be made to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc. to assist with funeral expenses.
