Obituary for Edward Rickard Edward Eugene Rickard, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on April 12, 2018. He was 73 years of age. Edward was born on September 22, 1944 and raised in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Edward and Shirley (Webb) Rickard.

He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Bette Davis, on August 21, 1965. The couple made their home in Fraser and was blessed with three beautiful children of whom he loved and cherished. Edward had a successful career as Project Manager of Cross Company of Fraser for 41 dedicated years, retiring in 2006.

He was on the City of Fraser Planning Commission for 20 years and always enjoyed being part of his community. Ed loved golfing during the warm summer months and in his younger years, enjoyed playing softball and basketball. He was an avid reader who enjoyed watching a good movie.

A family man, Edward always put his family first and provided for them. He absolutely loved being a grandfather and was proud of each and everyone of them. Edward will be deeply missed and he will be steadfast in our hearts forever.

Edward is the loving husband of 52 years to Bette; dearest father of Patricia (Scott) Rickard-Stumpf, David Rickard and Sheryl Rickard; cherished grandfather of Ed, Emma, Shelby, Eric, Christopher and Elaine; beloved brother of Barbara Kralka, Maxine Simis and Ken (Kim) Rickard. Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Saturday from 4pm until the time of funeral service at 7pm. Share memories at www.
