Obituary for Maxie Hubbard (Hutcheson) Maxie Nell Hubbard, a 7 year resident of Michigan and former longtime resident of Wichita Falls, Texas, went to join her husband in Heaven early Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 in Sanctuary of Fraser Villa at the age of 85 years. Maxie was born in Waco, Texas on July 25, 1932, a daughter of the late Max and Doris (Walker) Hutcheson. She was united in marriage in Waco Texas to her beloved husband, Thaddeus “Bruce” Hubbard in July of 1954.

The couple made their home initially in Waco before moving to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida as Bruce was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. Later the couple made their home for many years in Wichita Falls. After retirement, the couple moved to Longview, Texas.

After her loving husband preceded her in death, she resided in Fort Worth and later relocated to Michigan due to health problems. Maxie had worked as a beautician in her early years. She was wonderful and accomplished artist who loved china painting and belonged for many years to the State Federation Porcelain Art Club of Texas.

She won second place in the Porcelain Art East Texas Jamboree in Gilmer, Texas for a piece she painted. Maxie was also a member of both Longview Club and the Fort Worth Club for many years. She was quite the seamstress and loved crochet and making clothes and dance costumes for the family.

Maxie was a loving mother who was very proud of her family. She was a perfectionist and loved her pet dogs. Maxie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maxie is survived by her loving children, Gayla (Calvin) Shilling and Kenneth (Vicki) Hubbard; her loving grandchildren, Cindy (Tim) and Becky (Brad) and great grandchildren, Grace, Lily, Vaughn, Stella, Hayes and Calvin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thaddeus “Bruce” in April 30, 2005 and by her son James Randall “Randy”. A memorial gathering will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd.

, Fraser, Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4:30pm until the time of memorial service at 5:00pm. A committal will be made next to her beloved Bruce in Longview Texas at a later date. Memorial contributions to Breast Cancer would be appreciated.
