Eldefonsa Tamayo Haire, 79, of Gwinn, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, July 15, 2018 at The Lighthouse Nursing Home at Ishpeming. She was born March 27, 1939 in the Philippines to Cresanto and Honorata Oirada. She arrived in the United States in 1966 and became a citizen in 1969.

Eldefonsa and her husband, Frank, enjoyed traveling and went to the Philippines several times to visit her relatives. She worked as a seamstress at the former KI Sawyer AFB for 20 years… Read More » and retired from sewing in 1995. Surviving are her loving husband of 32 years, Frank Haire; three daughters, Dawn Lynch of Gwinn, Kristina Connors of Avon, MA and Corazon Meniano of Palawan, Philippines; a son, Felix Juvinal of Palawan; three grandchildren, Alexis Lynch, Sandi Lynch and Samantha Connors in the United States and 11 grandchildren in Palawan, Philippines.
