Elizabeth (Liz) Melvina Peace Capps Erdmann passed away on April 23, 2018, at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville. She was born to Butch Peace and Lizzie Hodge Peace on September 9, 1928, at Hulsey. She was raised around Hulsey, Pecan Grove, Yeager, and Holdenville.

She graduated from Yeager High School. She married Don Capps and they had one son, Donald Butch Capps. She later married Kenneth Karl Erdmann and they lived in Texas.

They returned to Holdenville in 1990. She was a seamstress… Read More » by profession. She also enjoyed painting and writing poetry.

Mrs. Erdmann is survived by her son Donald Butch Capps and his wife Donna of Savanna, Ok. One granddaughter Kimberfy Effis and her husband Sherman of Stuart, OK. Two great granddaughters, Taylor Ellis and Catrina Goddard and her husband Matthew, alt of Stuart.

She was also blessed with three great great grandchildren, Dhane Nelson, Trentyn and Abbiegayle Goddard, and another great great grandson due in May. Also her brother Jack Peace and his wife Eva of Holdenville and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s Don Capps and Kenneth Erdmann, sister Macy Jane Plymale, and her brothers, Bo, Raymond, Dwayne, and Frank Peace.

Funeral services will be conducted by her son, Donald Capps and Rev. David Pope at Penn West Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be at Holdenville Cemetery.
