Obituary of Ellen Willis Ellen H. Willis, 98, passed away at her home in Goldendale, Washington on September 11, 2018. She was born in Goldendale on September 6, 1920 to Zona Irene (McDowell) and William Emmett Hoctor. Ellen graduated from Goldendale High School in 1936 and married Sheryl Willis in 1940.

Mr. and Mrs. Willis worked on their farm and ranch while raising five children. Ellen was a member of the Grange for 79 years. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Klickitat County Historical Society.

She loved her antiques, gardening, sewing and cooking. She had a special interest in owls. A devoted mother and grandmother, Ellen received much joy from her children and grandchildren.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Sheryl, her son Tom, and her brother Emmett Hoctor. She is survived by her children Raymond Willis and Terry Willis both of Goldendale, Daryl Willis of Snohomish, Washington, and Marilyn McKune of Goldendale; sister Dorothy Dressel and brother Charles Hoctor both of Goldendale; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

The funeral service for Ellen will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale with interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel is handling funeral arrangements. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.
