Elsie Maxine Monday passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the age of 85, after a long illness. Elsie was born November 16, 1933 in Putnam County and was preceded in death by her husband, Glen D. Monday; her mother, Beulah Mary Casto; father, Guy Casto; brother, Roy Casto and an infant sister, Mary Yvonne Casto. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Bays of Red House; son, David G. Monday and his wife, Linda of Red House; grandson, S. Aaron Jones and his wife, Lisa; two great-grandsons, Dylan H. Jones and Andrew C. Jones of Red House.

Also surviving are her sisters, Phyllis L. Fisher of Red House, Mildred R. Monday of Winfield and Eva M. Coleman of Jim Ridge. She was a lifelong resident of Putnam County and will be missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, January 21, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield with Rev.

Chris Kilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Jim Ridge. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm Sunday at the funeral home.
