Obituary for Elvira Padilla Elivira M. Padilla, 84, of Las Cruces, NM, entered eternal life, while surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was born on August 29, 1933, in Deming, NM to Jesus Macias and Luz Gonzales. Elvira later met and married Arturo Padilla.

Together, they raised five children. She lived her life as a mother, homemaker and grandmother. While Elvira had many hobbies that included hunting, fishing, cooking and just about anything outdoors, her greatest treasure was caring for her family.

Elvira is survived by her daughter, Velma Padilla and her son, Arturo Bustillos, of Santa Ana, CA, daughter Irma Uribe and husband Teno, of Fullerton, CA, son Anastacio (Tacho) Padilla his companion Ronda, and his three children, Shauntell, Felicia, and Arturo Padilla, of Las Cruces, NM, daughter Olga Pina and husband Danny, their daughter Savannah, of Las Cruces, NM. Elvira also raised four granddaughters, Lisa Zavala, Luana Hernandez, Brandy and Erika Zuniga, as her own. She had 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Arturo Padilla, her daughter Rosemary Samayoa and great granddaughter Nicole Zavala. Pall Bearers for Elvira will be, Grandson Arturo Bustillos, Grandson Arturo Padilla, Great Grandson Adrien Zavala, Nephew Frank Mendoza, NephewJose Luiz Gonzales and Nephew Danny Mendoza. Honorary pall bearers, Dominic Zuniga and Josiah Padilla.

A visitation for Elvira will be held at Getz Funeral Home, on Thursday, July 5th from 10am – 12pm. A Rosary will be held at St. Genevieve? ?

? s Catholic Church, on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 1 pm with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30 pm. Internment will follow the mass at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
