Emma Allen Moore, 89, of Collinsville, VA left us peacefully to go be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born July 27, 1928 in Franklin County to the late Billy and Hattie Allen. Emma was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church for over 60 years and was an active member of the Silver Stone Seniors.

She worked at DuPont for 6 years and then became a stay at home mom. She was very active in church and making our house a wonderful home. She volunteered many years for the… Read More » American Red Cross and was a member of a walking club, which she enjoyed so much.

Emma lived life to the fullest and was more happy giving than receiving. We know she is receiving her jewels for all the love she has shown over the years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Chester Moore; daughters, Lisa Lancaster (Gil) of Collinsville, VA and Phyllis Merricks (Danny) of Collinsville, VA; brothers, Marce Allen (Frances) of Floyd, VA and Rance Allen (Diane) of Rocky Mount, VA; sisters, Alease Hatcher of Ferrum, VA and Yvonne Dillon (Royce) of Collinsville, VA; grandchildren, Darren Merricks and Erin Merricks; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Stone Memorial Christian Church with Pastor Tim Wood and Pastor Lawrence Harris officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the church. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.

Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory in Martinsville, Virginia is serving the Moore family.
