Jeanette Davis, 68, of 444 Blairs Circle, Blairs, Va. , died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1949 in Pittsylvania County to the late Carnell Mays Stephens and James Towler.

She was married to Harry Byrd Davis, Jr. who survives. Jeanette loved to cook and was a loving and kind woman, doing anything she could for others. She loved to read her Bible and spend time with the Lord.

For many years she worked as a cook in the health care industry. In addition… Read More » to her husband, Jeanette is survived by a daughter, Damita Harris of Ringgold, Va. , and two sons, Harry Davis III (Pam) of Springfield, Va.

, and Patrick Davis of the residence. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra Poteat of Blairs, and brothers Michael Stephens (Linda) of Fayetteville, NC, Johnnie Stephens (Marilyn) of Apopka, FL, and Tony Stephens (Jennifer) of Tennessee, as well as five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by a brother, Larry Towler.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, with Rev. Percy Womack, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, Danville. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel.

At other times the family will receive friends at the residence, 444 Blairs Circle, Blairs, Va. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke.
