Bernard Thomas Lewis, 80, of Danville, Va. , passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Sovah Health Danville. He was born July 17, 1938, in Danville to the late Jossie Jones Lewis and the late Clearance Lewis.

Mr. Lewis proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a farmer. Mr. Lewis is survived by his daughter, Tina L. Taylor of Chatham, Va.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Merricks and Elsie Powell; and his brothers, Raymond Lewis, Billy Lewis and Melvin Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Norris Mt.

Hermon Chapel with Rev. Richard Motley officiating. Interment will occur at a later date at Highland Burial Park.
