Georgia H Roop, 96, of Stuart, VA died on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, VA. She was born on July 28, 1921 in Patrick County to the late Carrie Martin Gilley and Emmett Hughes Gilley. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Bassett, VA.

She worked in textile as a spinner in Fieldale, VA. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Freddie Bonds officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ferris Roop Cemetery Cassell Lane in Bassett, VA. The family will receive friends from one hour prior from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church and other times at the home.
