Michael Wayne Bruce, 68, of Danville, Va. , went home to be with his “Father God” on July 3, 2018. He was born March 6, 1950, in Mooresville, N.C. Mike proudly served his country with the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Bruce was a member of White Oak Worship Center, and loved running his camera faithfully. Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy Bruce of the residence; his daughter, Sara Lankford and husband, Ryan of Danville; his father, Donald Hugh Bruce, Sr. of Florida; his brothers, Don Bruce and wife, Theresa of Dry Fork, Va. , and Jerry Bruce and wife, Fran of Michigan; as well as his special nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Starnes Bruce. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at White Oak Worship Center with Pastor Roger Ewing and Pastor Cabel Cobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 6, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at White Oak Worship Center. The family respectfully suggests memorial donations to International Missions Outreach, White Oak Worship Center, 8465 US-29, Blairs, VA 24527. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
