Michael Alan Wood, 54, of Vernon Hill, Va. , passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. He was born February 18, 1964 in Danville, Va.

Mr. Wood was the proud owner of Wood Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing and riding in the countryside sightseeing. Mr. Wood is survived by his parents, Ann McLaughlin Wood and Harold Dean Wood; his sister, Tempie Wood Wade (David) of Williamsburg, Va.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Wood. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, Va. with Rev.
