Madeline Amos Holthausen, 82, of Collinsville, VA passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home. She was born January 30, 1936 in Bassett, VA to the late Thomas Edgar Amos and Elizabeth Oakes Amos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Ms. Holthausen was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church. She graduated from Bassett High School and retired as a nursing administrator at Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Gregg A.… Read More » Holthausen of Collinsville, VA and Robert D. “Bobby” Holthausen, Jr. and wife, Anita of Collinsville, VA; sister, Frances Loher of Wilmington, NC; brothers, Ed Amos of Martinsville, VA and Hubert Amos of Biloxi, MS; and grandsons, Logan Dean Holthausen and Taylor Chase Holthausen.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Ricky Bates officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Holthausen family.
