Nathaniel Robert DeAndrea passed peacefully in his sleep on September 11, 2018, ending a courageous two-year battle with Neuroblastoma cancer. He was born on December 6, 2014, in Danville, Va. , to Shannon Barker DeAndrea and Alan DeAndrea, II.

Nathan was full of life and had a passion for dinosaurs and trucks. He was loved by all who knew him and he never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kailynn DeAndrea of the home.

He is further survived… Read More » by grandparents, Chip and Rosemary Ragans of South Boston, Va. , Bruce Barker of Ringgold, Va. , Alan and Nancy DeAndrea, and Celine and Bruce Harris, all of Danville; great-grandparents, Fraser and Cecilia Gore and Myrtle Mills, of Danville, and Judy and Pete Haskins of Climax, Va.

Also loving Nathan, are his uncles, Sean Barker and Stephen Barker of Danville, Blake Ragans of South Boston, and Bryan Ragans of Richmond, Va. ; his aunts, Alexandra DeAndrea of Roanoke, Va. , Cori Sowers and Wendy Rigney of Danville, and Jessica Doran of Charlotte, N.C.

He was predeceased by one uncle, Nathaniel Harris. A private service celebrating his short life will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Claire Parker Foundation, PO Box 523, Altavista, VA 24517.
