Burton Ryland Shelton, Sr., age 89 of Danville passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his residence in Danville, VA. He was born July 21, 1929 in Pittsylvania County. Burton was a member of Gatewood Baptist Church.

He was married to Hazel Bauguess Shelton who survives. Burton proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Burton was predeceased by his son, Keith Burchfield. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA, with the Rev. Johnny Gentry and Rev.

Adrian Moore officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the US Army and American Legion Dan River Post 1097. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm till 1:30 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave.
