Obituary for Eugenia Ann Martineck (Hojnowski) Jean Martineck of Irving passed away January 18, 2019. Jean was born on Thursday, February 26, 1920 to Lladyslaw and Victoria Hojnowski in Long Island City, New York. She was the oldest of five children and will be remembered as a selfless caring person who took on a maternal role at an early age when her mother passed away and taking care of other family members during their time of need.

Jean loved to cook and sew. She loved learning about healthy cooking and cooked for all the family celebrations. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband John Joseph Martineck whom she married on September 21, 1940; brothers, Theodore, Eugene and Henry Hodges; sister Stephanie Scanlon; daughter Mary Jean Satchwell and grandson Gavin Murphy.

Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Victoria Murphy and Jeanie Terrence; grandchildren Scott Satchwell and wife Chris; Arley Terrence; William Terrence and wife Julie; Corina Wondoloski and husband Jeff; Tara Tassin and husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren Thomas, Paige, Matthew, Jacob, Andrew, Dean, Brooke, Ryan, Jeffrey, Cassie, Aiden, Ronan, Beatrix and Finian and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. The family will have a Memorial Service at The Church of the Incarnation at The University of Dallas 1845 E. Northgate Drive, Irving, Texas at a later date.
