Eugenia Bearb September 14, 1935 – February 17, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook CANKTON ~ Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 at a 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Mrs. Russell Joseph Bearb, age 83, the former Eugenia Kilchrist, who passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Acadia/St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton. The Rev.

Ken Domingue, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Bearb was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol. She was employed as a Personnel Manager at Garen’s Clothing in Church Point for twenty-nine years.

A devout Catholic, Mrs. Bearb was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, Russell Bearb of Bristol; one son, Victorian Bearb of Bristol; one daughter, Sheila Southerly and her husband, Robert, of Evergreen, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Jasper Bearb and his wife, Amanda, Eddie Bearb and his wife, Peggy, Britney Martin and her husband, Tyler, Jeffrey Crawford, Emily Crawford, Victorian “Trey” Bearb, III and Zackary Bearb; seven great grandchildren, Deven Hart Bearb, Eddie Paul Bearb, Jr., Lailah Richard, Carter Richard, Fletcher Martin, Finley Martin and Fisher Martin; four sisters, Norma Forestier of Duson, Dianna Lavergne of Atlanta, GA, Linda Savoie and Priscilla Gary both of Scott; and one brother, Aubrey Kilchrist and his wife, Barbara, of Orange, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clabey Kilchrist and the former Ida Simoneaux both natives of Cankton.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Eddie Bearb, Jasper Bearb, Tyler Martin, Trey Bearb, III, Zack Bearb and Devin Bearb. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave.
