Evelyn Rena Hendrickson March 09, 1926 – January 10, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook East Montpelier, VT Evelyn Rena Hendrickson, 92, of East Montpelier died at her home on January 10, 2019. She was born on March 9, 1926 in Montpelier, the daughter of Eugene and Ada (Johnson) Progen. She attended schools in Middle and graduated from Montpelier High School.

On March 12, 1949, she married Carl A. Hendrickson, Jr in Barre, VT. Mr. Hendrickson predeceased her on April 22, 2010. Evelyn worked for National Life Insurance Company for 20 years before she was able to enjoy a long retirement.

She was a former member of the Middle Grange. She was an avid crafter, enjoying crocheting, sewing and painting; when not working on her creations she was outside tending her gardens. Her two favorite pets where her cat, “Samette” and her Jack Russell Terrier, “Jack”.

In addition to her extended family, Evelyn had wonderful friends that brought joy and comfort in her daily life, she was thankful to have Apple Faulkner, Hobbie Guion, Robert Richert, Linda Trono and David Spidle in her life. Survivors include Tina (James) Kennedy, Carol James, Timothy and Everett Ryan, Shannon (Ryan) Zeller, Karen (Ryan) Pallas, Patrick and Sean Ryan, Jean Ann (Ryan) Pallas and Richard Ryan Jr and their families. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Middle Center Cemetery.
