Evelyn M. She grew up as a farmer’s daughter with her brother, James and her sister, Kathryn. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1944.

In 1946 she became a licensed Cosmetologist. She worked as a beautician and owned her own beauty shop for over 20 years. She married Joel Thorson on May 2, 1947 and they resided in Story City, Iowa.

They divorced on January 29, 1970 but were remarried on February 26 1971. They moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1971. From there they lived in the Big Thompson Canyon and Cedar Springs for a number of years before moving back to Loveland.

Evelyn greatly enjoyed living in the mountains west of Loveland. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Graham of Norwalk Iowa; sister, Kathryn DeWitt of Winterset, Iowa and husband Joel. She is survived by her son, Scott Thorson; her daughter, Susan Brian; son-in-law, Lloyd Brian; grandchildren, Chad Brian, and Amanda Brian and great granddaughter Ellery Brian.
