Filemon Curiel, 62, of Santa Maria CA passed away on June 17th, 2018. Filemon was born in Mascota, Jalisco on December 20th, 1955. He moved with his siblings to Santa Maria in 1971, when he was 16 years old.

Filemon loved barbequing with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, going to the casino, and eating at his favorite Mexican restaurant. He had a heart of gold and a smile that would brighten up a room! He simply was the rock of the family. Filemon is survived by his wife of 42 years, Clementina Garcia Curiel, Son Jose Maria Curiel, Daughter in-law Maria Curiel, Grandchildren Esteban Curiel, and David Curiel: Daughter Esther Curiel, Grandchildren Sarah Rubio and Emilio Rubio: Daughter Ruby Curiel-Castillo, Son in-law Omar Castillo, Grandchildren Raymon Castillo, and Jayson Castillo.

Filemon was preceded in death by his parents Esther Curiel Pena and Jose Maria Curiel. Brothers Alberto Curiel, Jose De Jesus Curiel, Guadalupe Topete, Salvador Curiel, and Tomas Curiel. Visitation will be held Sunday June 24th, 2018 at 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the chapel of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary.

A memorial celebration of Filemon’s life will be held on Monday June 25th, 2018 at 11:00am at St. John Neumann Church in Santa Maria followed by burial at the Santa Maria Cemetery.
