Florence “Flossie” Hineman, 92, of Aliquippa, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Masonic Village, Sewickley, PA. Born February 11, 1926, in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Anne (Hineman) Sweringen. Flossie was a graduate of Aliquippa High School.

After graduating from business school she was employed by J&L Steele Corp. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Presbyterian Church and was actively involved in the Woodlawn Chapter… Read More » of the Order of the Eastern Star. Floss was a member of Beaver Lakes Country Club where she enjoyed golfing and playing bridge.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Henry Donald Hineman, three sisters, Betty Russell, Dolores Boyle, and Marianne Derick; and one brother Robert Sweringen. One sister-in-law, Jeanne Dambaugh and four brothers-in-law, Howard Russell, Joseph Boyle, George Derick, and Charles Dambaugh. She is survived by four sons Donald Hineman and wife Cynthia, Sterling Heights MI; Jeff Hineman and wife Wendy, Rochester Hills, MI; Kurt Hineman and wife Cindy, Hopewell Twp, PA; Greg Hineman and wife Karen, Hopewell Twp, PA; and one daughter Leslie Warnick and husband Royce, Deep Creek Lake, MD; and daughter-in-law Linda Hineman, Coraopolis, PA.

One brother Richard Sweringen and wife Grace Mary, Oakmont, PA; and one sister-in-law Jane Sweringen, Lancaster PA. Eleven grandchildren, Heather (Ryan)Greenwald, Natalie (Matt) Parr, Chelsey(Adam) Whitaker, Carly(Greg) Bzorek, Leah(Zack) Harvey, Royce(Rachel) Warnick, Rachel Warnick, Ricki Lawson, Reece Duncan, Alexander and Zachary Altadonna. Six great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff in the Hawthorne wing of the Sturgeon Health Care Center, Masonic Village as well as the nurses of Amedisys Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during the past 15 months. As per her wishes her body will be cremated. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mt Carmel Evangelical Presbyterian Church 2720 Brodhead Rd.
