Obituary for Florence (Neumann) Kulak Florence E. Kulak, 92, of Basking Ridge NJ died peacefully at her home Thursday, May 3, 2018. Born in New Britain, CT on February 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Karl Neumann and Rose Eckert. She lived the majority of her life in Berlin Connecticut until moving to New Jersey in 2010 to be close to her family.
She worked at Fafnir Bearing during the World War II and then New Britain General Hospital until she retired. Florence was a member of St. Matthew’s and Somerset Hills Lutheran Church, an active member of her local Senior Center and in her earlier years, she was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. She loved working around the house, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her friends and family.
Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. She said that it was her only goal in life and the most rewarding thing she ever did. Florence is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brian and Nancy Victor of Miramar, FL, her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Charles Hellings of Basking Ridge, NJ, four grandchildren, Michael Victor and Ryan, Grant and Samantha Hellings, as well as numerous niece and nephews.
She will be missed for her caring personality and beautiful smile. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association through their website or mail PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
