Obituary for Frances B. Zimmerman RICHMOND, Ind. – Frances B. Zimmerman, age 96, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Brookdale Richmond. Born October 9, 1921, to Edgar and Anna McWhirt Griffy, Frances lived in Richmond most of her life.

She was a 1939 graduate of Morton High School. Frances worked as a teller at GTE. She loved to travel, especially to Colorado, but always looked forward to coming home to Richmond.

Frances was an avid Bunco player, rolling the dice many times over for some 60 years. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Michael) Wright of Florida; son, Michael (Kathy) Zimmerman of Zionsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Bryan Zimmerman, Blake Zimmerman, Jay (E’lan) Fulton, Douglas (Shelly) Fulton, Kerensa (Karen) Moore, and Sharalynn (Angelo) Romero; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jacque Truitt and Edline Shelton; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Zimmerman, who died January 3, 1999; parents; sister, Dale Ann McCormick; and brother, Clyde Griffy.

Visitation for Frances B. Zimmerman will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Carlos King officiating.

Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www. doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
