Frances’ Obituary Frances M. Shea, 89, of Granite City, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL. She was born on August 21, 1929 in Madison, IL to Samuel and Anna nee: Bunsich Krpan. Frances married Charles H. Shea in St. Louis, MO in 1948.

The loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was a housewife who enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Frances is survived by her husband; a daughter, Sandra R. (Larry) Nowicki of Granite City, IL; a son, Charles (Marsha) Shea of Godfrey, IL; 3 grandchildren: Candice Hill, Larry Nowicki, Jr and David C. Nowicki and 2 great grandchildren: Ryleigh C. Fears and Kenley M. Hill.

Besides her parents, Frances is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Samuel Krpan, Jr and George Krpan and 2 sisters: Emma Kudelka and Helen White. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Annie Knapp, Rose McCall Moore, Cheryl McKInney and Donna Schlage for the care that they gave Frances.
