Obituary for Francois A “Frank” Cassar Francois A. “Frank” Cassar, age 76 of Brighton, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Algeria to Emanuel and Theresa (Attard) Cassar on October 19, 1942. On April 4, 1964 he married Linda J. Brown in Detroit moving to Livonia to raise their family.
Francois was a loving and selfless husband, father and grandfather who took care of his wife as he himself was suffering from cancer. He always had some words of wisdom to pass on and was extremely hardworking. Francois enjoyed boating and fishing while taking tremendous pride in his yard and home.
He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1999. Francois is survived by his children: Chris (Diane), Beth, Jeff (Jennifer); grandchildren: Jonathon, Matthew, Lindsay, Sloan, Dylan, Luke; and many extended loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his dear wife Linda, his parents, brother Rene and grandson Jeffrey.
Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Keehn Funeral Home, Brighton, MI from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. David F. Howell on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalen Parish at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Michigan Humane Society or the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
