Frankie’s Obituary Frankie Pearl Phillips, age 100, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Harmony Gardens in Warrensburg, MO. Pearl was born on June 23, 1918 on the family farm in Ewing, MO, the daughter of Earl Doscher and Ella Gruber Doscher. She was a graduate of Ewing High School and went on to receive her R.N. certification from Blessing Hospital of Quincy, IL, in the class of 1939.

She married James T. Phillips on September 25, 1940, in LaGrange, MO, and to this union were born two sons: Bob and Ed. James was enlisted in the military during WWII and they lived in California before and after the war, where she continued serving as a nurse. In 1958, the family moved back to Missouri, where they ran the family business, Heet Gas Company.

Pearl was a 60+ year member of Chilhowee Baptist Church, and a worldwide traveler. She loved her family and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Bob Phillips (wife Debbie) of Chilhowee, MO; three granddaughters, Tabitha Schmidt (husband Mike) of Greenwood, MO, Heidi Phillips of Kansas City, MO, and Misty Phillips of Warrensburg, MO; four great-grandchildren, Peyton Schmidt, Samantha Schmidt, Connor George, and Turner George; niece, Pam Stowe (husband Ralph) of Holland, MI; and nephew, Normen Martin (wife Linda) and their son John, all of Decatur, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Phillips; son, Ed Phillips; brothers, Willis Doscher (wife Melba), Oren Doscher, and Earl Doscher, Jr.; and sister, Agnes Martin (husband Leland). A graveside inurnment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Ewing, MO at a later date. Contributions may be made to Chilhowee Baptist Church in her memory.
