J. SMALLS. SHE ATTENDED COOPER HIGH SCHOOL STUDYING TO EARN HER HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. GENEVA MET HER NURTURING AND SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND WILLIAM GRANT IN 1968, WHICH SHE ULTIMATELY MARRIED IN 1970, AND STAYED DEVOTED TO HIM UNTIL HIS PASSING IN 2005.

THEIR BEAUTIFUL UNION PRODUCED FOUR AMAZING AND INDEPENDENT CHILDREN, JACQUELINE SMALLS (PREDECEASED), ISLAH SMALLS, IHSHAN GRANT (PREDECEASED) AND BILAL GRANT, WHICH SHE DEDICATED HER LIFE TO GIVING ALL SHE HAD TO ENSURE THEY WERE ALWAYS LOVED AND SUPPORTED IN EVERY WHICH WAY SHE POSSIBLY COULD UP UNTIL THE VERY END. GENEVA WAS BLESSED WITH FIFTEEN BEAUTIFUL GRANDCHILDREN, AMANI, ALDRIN, AIDEN, DAQUAN, KAYLANI, KEYUANA, JALEEL, LATRELL, JAZLYN, JEREMIAH, ISIAH, FATIMA, TYQUAN, GENAYA AND NIJEE, WHICH SHE ADORED AND LOVED TO ETERNITY. GENEVA GREW UP WITH TEN AMAZING SIBLINGS, EIGHT SISTERS: GERTRUDE, DOLORES, ELOISE, THELMA, ANNA, CHERYL, PATRICIA AND JOYCE; AND TWO BROTHERS: LARRY AND CHARLIE, WHERE THEY SHARED A CHILDHOOD OF ALWAYS STICKING TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT OBSTACLES THEY HAD TO OVERCOME, THEY ALWAYS HAD EACH OTHER TO LEAN ON.

GENEVA WILL BE MOST REMEMBERED BY HER ALWAYS MAKING THOSE AROUND HER FEEL BETTER WITH LAUGHTER AND HER BEAUTIFUL SMILE. AND LETS NOT FORGET HER LOVE FOR COOKING WHICH INCLUDES HER FAVORITE DISH OF GRITS AND SARDINES. SHE WILL FOREVER BE MISSED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN AS THAT’S THE WAY SHE WOULD HAVE WANTED IT TO BE.
