Lohneis, Jr, 88, Watertown, formerly of Lake Mills, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 13, 1930, the son of the late George and Beatrice (Pellage) Lohneis, Sr He was a graduate of the Lake Mills High School and later earned his agricultural degree from the UW Madison.

George married Mary Ann Kraus on June 28, 1958. She died on Feb. 28, 2012.

On August 29, 2014 he married Esther Gertsch. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Esther; five children, Rose (Chuck) Tiedt, Brenda (Dale) Theder, Ronald (Sherry) Lohneis, Kevin (Shelly) Lohneis, Dana (Bill) Ryan; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Luke Lutheran Church ,301 Clark Street, Watertown. Friends may call after 10 a.m on Monday at the church until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Johnson Creek.
