Obituary for Georgia Nell Walters Georgia Nell Walters, 75, of Laurel, born March 10, 1943, passed away on May 6, 2018, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel on Tuesday, May 8th from 5 until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at Memory Chapel on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Mill Creek Cemetery. Rev.

Jimmy Holder & Rev. Bill Myers will officiate. Mrs. Walters was employed as a supervisor at Ellisville State School prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Mill Creek Congregational Methodist Church and loved gardening, drawing, and watching hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Busby and Effie Lee Cooley Busby; and one sister, Shirley Powelson. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Billy Joe Walters; son, Ricky J. Walters (Rita); daughters, Carolyn Ingram (Howard “Rudy”) and Rachel Starcher (John); sister, Deborah Sue Smith; grandchildren, Laykin Boyette, Dana Ingram, Kayla Register, Ray Welborn, Jessica McKean, Kody Walters, and Haley Walters; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
