Glenn Joel “Joey” Kirkpatrick, 63, of Jane Lew passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born in Weston on February 21, 1956 the son of Geneva “Genny” Osteen of Florida and the late Reverend Glenn U. Kirkpatrick. Joey is survived by his wife, Shirley Hawkins Kirkpatrick; three children from a previous marriage: Carrie J. Kirkpatrick of Charleston, Thomas M. Kirkpatrick and wife, Amber, of Point Pleasant, and Charles A. Kirkpatrick of Weston; three grandchildren: Wyatt, Keegan and Ava; one sister: Rebecca Oppe and husband, James, of Parkersburg; and three nieces.

In addition to his father, one brother, Robert “Bobby” W. Kirkpatrick, and one granddaughter, Oakley Kirkpatrick, preceded Joey in death. Joey loved life and loved his family. He was a graduate of Gilmer County High School class of 1974.

He had a passion for racing, fast cars, four wheelers, go-carts and motorcycles. Joey also enjoyed hunting and salt-water fishing. Joey spent much of his life in the oil and gas industry at Adams Drilling.

He also worked at Dowell/Schlumberger and Key Energy Services where he served as a Facility Manager for both companies. Most recently, he was a district manager at FleetPride. Family and friends will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd.

in Jane Lew from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in the Pat Boyle Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Hunt. Interment will follow at Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn.
