GWELDA V. (CHASE) BILOW, 93, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday evening, April 8, 2018 at Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born in Springfield on October 24, 1924, the daughter of the late August C. and Hazel Mae (Bruce) Chase. Gwelda was a 1943 graduate of Springfield High School and worked as an IBM operator at International Harvester for 30 years, retiring in 1979.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tim) Ridenour of Springfield; grandsons, Brad (Veronica) Ridenour of Hilliard, Ohio and Brent (Kim) Ridenour of Lima, Ohio; great grandchildren, Renee, Dana, Max, Brianna, and Cameron; step-children, Jean (Dick) Shoquist of Onaway, Michigan and John (Barb) Bilow of Grawn, Michigan; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, Joe Parrill in 1976 and Jack Bilow in 2013; sisters, Jean Ehrle, Betty Bianchi, Donna Murphy, Janice Schantz, and Thelma Toland; and brother, Richard B. Chase. The family wishes to thank her very special caregivers and loyal friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Eastern Star services will begin at 6:00 p.m. immediately followed by the funeral service officiated by Pastor Vicki Downing. A private graveside service will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
