FRIEDA LOUISE (OLLECH) SUDDERTH, 88, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Villa Springfield. She was born on March 7, 1930 in Norwood, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred and Eunice (McLaughlin) Ollech. She and her mother shared their birthdays of March 7, making it a very special day.

Frieda is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John S. Sudderth and Deloris Linville of Springfield and Jay O. Sudderth and Victoria (Voss) of Buford,… Read More » Georgia; two grandchildren, Andrea and Blake; and a sister and brother-in-law, Alma and David Rutherford of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Walter R. Sudderth; her long-time companion, Paul Rohrer; a sister, Martha (Ollech) Kushmaul; and brother, John Ollech. Frieda and Walter relocated to the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, residing there from 1956-1994.

Before returning to Springfield, she was a member of the Rising Light Chapter #286, Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron in 1981 and 1984. She worked as a teacher’s aide for 15 years, assisting students with their reading and vocabulary. She also volunteered her time for over 10 years at Woodruff Gables Hospital in Bellflower, California.

Frieda was an avid animal lover and will be remembered as a giving, caring and devoted mother, friend, and wonderful person. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Frieda’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Randy Bailey officiating.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
