TAMARA KAY DALLENBACH, 53, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in her residence. She was born November 26, 1964 in Springfield the daughter of George D. (Sheena) Combs and Sharon K. (Ronald) Woolf. She graduated from Shawnee High School and received her bachelor’s degree in History and master’s degree in Public History from Wright State University.

She was passionate about her community’s history and its historic architecture. Tami served on Springfield Historic Landmarks Commission, the board of the Springfield Preservation Alliance and was active in many other preservation and public history initiatives.

One of her finest works was authoring the book, “Ridgewood In The Country Club District”. Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Nathan A. Dallenbach; two sons, Rick (Jessica) Wait and G. Jake Wait; one brother, G. Dustin Combs; one granddaughter, Quincy Wait and one niece, Sunset Combs. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence (Lorene) Wade, Agnes (William) Nesselrotte and Dempsey (Virgie) Combs.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2-5 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am in the funeral home with Chaplain Janie Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Daljeet Singh, Dr. J K. Ahern, nurses and staff of 4 North at Springfield Regional Medical Center and Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for the loving care they gave Tami and her family.
