Henry M. Anderson, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Owensboro Center. He was born on February 21, 1929 in Daviess County, KY to the late Nathaniel Anderson and Clara Leachman Anderson. He retired from the Daviess County Board of Education after 42 years and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Owensboro where he served as an elder.

He was one of the founding members of the Moseleyville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Tida Lee Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Mary Husk Anderson; two sons, Steve Anderson (Julee) and Keith Anderson, both of Owensboro; two daughters, Becky Pedigo of Owensboro and Jackie Roof (John) of Paducah; two stepsons, Jeff Husk of Owensboro and John Husk of Radcliff; three stepdaughters, Gale McClure of Philpot, Ann Richardson and Jenny Withrow, both of Owensboro; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Stallings, of Rockport, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Nickel Ridge Cemetery in Owensboro.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 910 Booth Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301.
