Herbert “Sammy” Harrison, III December 06, 1950 – February 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Herbert “Sammy” Harrison, III, 68, of McCalla, AL passed away February 28, 2019. He was a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church. Sammy retired from U.S. Steel with 42 years of service working out of Steelworker Union Local 2122.

He was a member of Coldwater Masonic Lodge #148. Sammy was a member of several Billiard Clubs. He loved life and his family.

He was a loving husband, devoted father and proud PawPaw Sammy. He is preceded in death by his son, Bryan Keith Harrison; his 1st wife, Wanda Gay Harrison; his father, Herbert “Hub” Harrison, Jr.; his brother, Mark Alan Harrison and his grandson, Charles David Lucas. Sammy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gail Harrison; his daughters, Tina (James) Reedy, Debby (Phillip) Graham, Kristi (Larry) Knight, Amy (Les) Kristt and Lisa (Chris) Graham; his sister in law, Karen Harrison; 18 Grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; his mother, Beulah Harrison; his brother, Phillip (Brenda) Harrison; several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Crestview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
