Robert Carl Waldrop September 05, 1929 – May 30, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Robert Carl Waldrop, 89, of Hueytown, AL passed away on May 30, 2019. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and retired from Liberty National Insurance Company with 35 years of service. Carl was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War.

He was an avid Alabama fan. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a loving husband, devoted father and proud “Pa”.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jo Waldrop; his son, Guy Waldrop; his daughter, Marqueta (Bob) Barnes; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Chapel service will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Bro.

David Hayes will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A private burial will be held Monday June 3, 2019.
