Obituary for Hope Krieger Hope Krieger, age 98, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2018, at University Nursing & Rehabilitation in Edwardsville. Hope was born May 2, 1919, at Blue Mound, Illinois the daughter of the late Carl & Pearl Drysdale. She married Earl L. Krieger on September 28, 1940 at Burlington, Iowa.

He preceded her in death on July 28, 1992. Hope and Earl had two children, a son Ronald of Edwardsville and a daughter, Kay Meyer who preceded her in death on January 7, 2006. Ronald was married to Irene Cowan of Scotland on September 26, 1962.

Irene and Ron were married for 50 years and she passed away from cancer. Ron is now married to Micki Landa of Burlington, Ontario. Kay was married to Robert Meyer who survives in Edwardsville.

Hope is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Ronald Krieger, Jr., Christine Evans, Brian Meyer, Shelly Reiter, and Steven Meyer; 7 great grandchildren, Amanda, Alaina, Megan, Nicholas, Hayden, Brittany & Marco;1 great great grandson, Brock, and a sister, Star Halbrook of Tower Hill, Illinois. She was preceded by a granddaughter, Haley Vieth, 2 sisters, Joy Buchner and Francis Furr, and 1 brother, Carl Drysdale, Jr. Hope was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, The Edwardsville Senior Citizens, and a volunteer at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Immanuel United Methodist Church.

Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jackie Havis-Shear officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
