Obituary for Greg Helm Greg Helm, age 46, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1971, in Alton, Illinois, the son of Edward V. Helm and the late Doris J. (Crabtree) Helm. Beside his father Greg is survived by one brother Brian Helm & Shara of Holiday Shores, Illinois; a sister, Sara Rials & Ryan of Troy, Illinois; two nephews, Bennett & Lyndon Rials.

He was a past member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville. Greg was member of the EHS Class of 1990, and a graduate of Kaskaskia College with a degree in auto body repair. He loved his dog Scout, being outdoors and playing with his nephews.

Greg also had a talent and passion for working on cars and other mechanical things. There will be a memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.

John Shank officiating. He was cremated according to his wishes and burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Siteman Cancer Center or the Metro East Humane Society.
