Obituary for Harold P. Williams HAROLD P. WILLIAMS, age 85, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, formerly of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Meridian Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. He was born February 19, 1933, in Edwardsville, the son of the late Noah & Margaret Williams. Harold was retired from the Edwardsville School District 7 where he worked as a custodian for many years.

He married Alice Bowman on March 25, 1956, in Butler, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1994. He is survived by a son David Williams & wife Donna of Roxana, Illinois; one daughter, Mary Alice Davis of Lakewood, Colorado; six grandchildren, Erica Davis, Josh Davis, Frances Will, Crystal Monroe, Sarah Mabb, Erin Williams; three great grandchildren, Audrina & Samuel Monroe, Luna Sandberg; one brother, Melvin Williams; and one sister, Marie Null.

Harold was preceded in death by one granddaughter, four brothers, Lester, Eugene, Kenny, & Elmer Williams; and three sisters, Bernice Showwalter, Dorothy Young & Ada Miller. He was a member of the South Roxana Assembly of God Church. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Thornton officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville.
